Expo-2020 Alif – The Mobility Pavilion

EXPO 2020

The iconic structure of the Mobility Pavilion – named Alif - was designed by Foster + Partners, UK and is located at the tip of the Mobility District. The architecture of the Pavilion is designed in the shape of the helicopter turbine, to symbolize the great advancements humanity has made in navigation and travel. Inspired by the themes of water and technological advancement, the entrance to Alif starts partially underground, and ends with a large amphitheatre, that can seat up to 500 spectators. The Pavilion also features the world’s largest passenger lift, that can hold 160 passengers, as well as the highest elevating platform in the world, that serves as the starting point for visitors’ journey through the many attractions the Pavilion offers.

Proscape was contracted to execute the soft landscaping, hard landscaping, irrigation and the pavilion amphitheatre, for the project.
