Interchange no. 2 on Sheikh Zayed Road

Interchange no. 2 is the crossroads intersecting Sheikh Zayed Road with Hadiqa Street, and is the first interchange on Sheikh Zayed Road to be professionally landscaped by Dubai Municipality. The interchange was commissioned to aid in reducing traffic between Jumeirah, a prominent coastal residential area, and Al Maktoum 2 in Meydan, a residential and commercial district, home to the Meydan horse-racing course. Located northwest to the intersection is Safa Park,a key landmark and one of Dubai’s oldest and largest parks.Dubai Municipality is renowned for assigning enormous importance to roadlandscaping in keeping with its fundamental goals of environmental sustainability and beautification of the city’s infrastructure.

Proscape was contracted to execute the soft landscaping and irrigation for Interchange no. 2, and was also the first project awarded to the company by Dubai Municipality.
